"Her legendary poise was about to be put to the test ..." I'm still experimenting with media. This one's a blend of watercolor, gouache, and pastel on hot-pressed watercolor paper. I like this mixture a lot.

Hotpressed watercolor paper is my favorite. Love this illustration--I can totally imagine this character is action.
